Overview: Orange Organization (Turuncu Eğitim Derneği) is a NGO based in Gaziantep, Turkey, actively engaged in humanitarian and development projects across North West Syria and Turkey. We are seeking motivated Erasmus interns to join various departments within our organization. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the humanitarian sector, learn from professionals, and immerse yourself in the Syrian context. Although the internship is unpaid, there is potential for future employment based on performance, skills, and available funding.

General Eligibility Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or in-progress degree in a related field
• Passion for learning and development
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Fluency in English (Arabic is a plus but not mandatory)
• Ability to adapt to challenging and dynamic environments
• Keen interest in the Syrian context and humanitarian work

Available Departments and Internship Roles:

1. Education

• Required Skills: Bachelor’s in Education or relevant field, knowledge of pedagogy, curriculum design, and classroom management.
• Soft Skills: Patience, empathy, cultural sensitivity, problem-solving skills.
• What You’ll Gain: Exposure to formal and non-formal education models, project management in education, and practical experience in crisis education settings.

Protection

• Required Skills: Bachelor’s in Social Sciences, Psychology, or Child Protection, with an interest in GBV and PSS.
• Soft Skills: Emotional resilience, critical thinking, excellent interpersonal skills.
• What You’ll Gain: Experience in designing child-friendly spaces, GBV interventions, and protection risk assessments.

Finance

• Required Skills: Bachelor’s in Finance or related field, proficiency in Excel, experience with accounting software.
• Soft Skills: Analytical mindset, attention to detail, time management.
• What You’ll Gain: Knowledge of ERP systems, financial reporting, and budget tracking in a humanitarian context.

Business Development

• Required Skills: Bachelor’s in Business Administration or related field, interest in humanitarian work.
• Soft Skills: Strong teamwork, critical thinking, high initiative.
• What You’ll Gain: Insight into the humanitarian project cycle, skills in proposal writing, and business development.

WASH & Shelter/Infrastructure and Environment

• Required Skills: Bachelor’s in Engineering or related field, knowledge in water management, sanitation, and climate adaptation.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical and technical skills, attention to detail.
• What You’ll Gain: Experience in WASH project planning, climate resilience, and infrastructure development.

Media

• Required Skills: Basic knowledge of graphic design, video editing, and social media content creation.
• Soft Skills: Creativity, strong storytelling, ability to communicate effectively.
• What You’ll Gain: Advanced skills in graphic design, multimedia content creation, and social media management.

Logistics

• Required Skills: Bachelor’s in any field, familiarity with supply chain and warehouse management.
• Soft Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, problem-solving.
• What You’ll Gain: Knowledge in supply chain operations, warehouse management, and logistical planning.

Procurement

• Required Skills: Bachelor’s in Business Administration or related field, experience in procurement.
• Soft Skills: Strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, high accuracy.

IT

• Required Skills: Bachelor’s in Computer Science or Network Engineering, knowledge in network systems and cybersecurity.

Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning and Research (MERL)

• Required Skills: Bachelor’s in Social Sciences or related field, strong Excel skills.

• What You’ll Gain: Hands-on experience in designing assessments, developing indicators, and conducting data analysis for humanitarian programs.

Grants and Partnership

• Required Skills: Bachelor’s in International Relations or related field, knowledge in grant management.

• What You’ll Gain: Experience in grants management, proposal writing, and donor relations.

Programs Department

• Required Skills: Bachelor’s in International Relations or related field, knowledge of program implementation and M&E.

• What You’ll Gain: Knowledge of project management, program implementation, and monitoring.
