Given the importance of financial management aspects in humanitarian projects, “Orange” as a member of a special committee, led by international organizations in capacity-building and humanitarian work, participating in the development of a new program in financial management in humanitarian projects FMD Pro which is similar to a large extent to PMD Pro program that is related to humanitarian project management, and is complementary to it targeting aid workers.
The program aims to develop an integrated training program that ends with post test and international certification aimed at workers in project management in humanitarian organizations according to international standards.
LINGOs and Mango are leading the development of the program with a number of international organizations, including CARE, Mercy Corps, Save the Children, World Vision. “Orange” supports the new program design, and translating the content into Arabic language, and developing it to fit the needs of the Syrian organizations within the context of the Syrian crisis in general.
The program includes a range of topics most important of which are preparing budgets for projects, managing revenues and expenses of projects, documenting projects for donors and preparing financial reports and other financial-related aspects needed by project managers.
It is expected that the English version of the program will be ready before the end of this year, and the Arabic version will be available early next year.
