In light of the current situation in Syria, there are increasing gender-based violence cases.
As taking gender into consideration is a fundamental humanitarian principle, “Orange” launched new project “protect society from gender-based violence,” which will be implemented in several areas in Syria including, Ariha, Darat Azza, Hrbenoh, Kafr Takharim , Maart al-Numman.
The project will be over six months, and is expected to be completed by the end of March 2017. The project includes several stages, beginning with trainings of project design, management, monitoring and evaluation, technical training in management of cases of violence in the community, with the aim of building the capabilities of a group of humanitarian organizations, and as a step towards establishing of and funding their new projects in the field of community protection from gender-based violence …
In the first phase of the project, “Orange” concluded four consecutive training programs “designing community protection from gender based violence (SGBV) projects,” Over eight days of training, with the participation of 43 trainees, in Syria.
